1. Vehicle Pre-inspection
I understand the following: 1. Before each departure the drivers must do a complete walk around inspection of his vehicle and do the following checks. Yes, I understand.

4. Check if all electrical and air suzy lines plugged in, untangled and undamaged./label> Yes, I understand. 5. Ensure all straps and tarp buckles is tightened and secured. Yes, I understand. 6. Check if the vehicles 5th wheels locked. Yes, I understand. 7. Check for any damages on vehicle or trailers that would result in potential claims. These faults must be reported immediately. Yes, I understand. 8. Listen and check for air leaks before and after start-up. Yes, I understand. 9. Check if all lights working once vehicle started. Yes, I understand. 10. I fully understand the vehicle pre-inspection Section of the induction Video. Yes, I understand. 2. STORAGE OF GAS CYLINDERS I understand the following: 11. No gas cylinders are allowed to be stored inside truck cab or in the side luggage compartment at any stage. Yes, I understand. 12. Gas cylinders may only be stored and locked away inside the trailers toolbox. Yes, I understand. 13. No form of cooking is allowed inside the vehicle at any stage. Yes, I understand. The reason is for your safety in the event of accident. A leaking gas cylinder inside the cab can cause a life threatening situation and lead to major explosion 14. On arrival the driver must park his vehicle at a dedicated inspection bay. Yes, I understand. 16. He must now report all defects as documented in the supplied defect report book to the workshop. Yes, I understand. 17. A Workshop manager or responsible person must sign the report book to acknowledge receipt of the fault or damage as per the report book. The signed report book must be handed back to the driver. Yes, I understand. 18. While vehicle is being inspected driver must report to reception for a debrief on all other documents. Yes, I understand. 19. Driver must also debrief any return or damage goods received during offloading at customer’s depot or DC. Yes, I understand. 20. In such a case, the returns book must be used and all products to be documented, counted and a signed handover process must be done. Yes, I understand. 21. The Belogix staff are responsible for receiving the returned stock will sign, and acknowledge receipt thereof. Driver will therefore receive a copy of returns document as well as his handbook. Yes, I understand. 22. Once inspection is completed on the vehicle, it will be moved to wash bay for cleaning should this be required. Yes, I understand. 4. COMPLETION OF DEFECT REPORT BOOK I understand the following: 23. Should a minor defect be found this must be documented immediately in the book before the driver forgets about it. Yes, I understand. 24. If a major defect is found the driver must report this immediately via telephone to operations or the workshop and send message on the workshop’s WhatsApp group. Yes, I understand. 25. On route repairs will be arranged between driver and workshop manager or scheduled repairs will be planned for when vehicle is back at the depot. STOPPING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD FOR INSPECTIONS I understand the following: 32. The company requires all drivers to do a vehicle inspection, tyre inspection and a schedule rest stop every 2 hours. Yes, I understand. 33. It is crucial for the driver to only make use of designated demarcated rest stop area’s while en route. Yes, I understand. 34. Always ensure your vehicles is well off the roadway when stopping to ensure the safety of yourself and other road users. Yes, I understand. 35. No stopping is allowed in the emergency lanes on the roadway unless in an unforeseen emergency situation. Always make use of your emergency triangles during emergencies. Yes, I understand. 36. No unauthorised passengers will be allowed in the vehicle, irrelevant if the vehicle is moving or in a stationary position. Yes, I understand. 7. WORK UNIFORMS I understand the following: Employees are required to wear their uniform and must ensure that they do so during working hours. I understand. 8. CELLPHONE USAGE AND TEXTING AND DRIVING I understand the following: Belogix has a zero-tolerance approach to the usage of cellphones while driving. Yes, I understand. (As stipulated in the national road traffic act, no cell phones may be used while driving.) Drivers should check all messages and respond if required only while standing still on safe place or while doing the 2 hourly vehicle inspection. Yes, I understand.
